Meisel Music and Alexa Voss organize 1st FEMALE FUTURE FLINTA* Camp

Meisel Music and Alexa Voss present the successful first FEMALE FUTURE FLINTA* Songwriting Camp, which took place between April 8 and 12, 2024 at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin. 20 talented female songwriters, musicians, artists and producers from Germany and abroad came together to write new songs, network and demonstrate their skills in the music industry. Participants included Maxi Menot, Yetundey, That Gurl Hanna, Maia Onda, Mona M, aufmischen, Linda Stark, Julia Kautz, AENGL, Celina Bostic, Sonya, ADINA, LUANA, Ina Regen, Die Nowak, Malin Metten, Nina Müller, Mya Audrey and of course Alexa Voss.

In the inspiring atmosphere of the studios, 15 extraordinary titles were created within three intensive writing days. The atmosphere among the participants was particularly focused, creative and harmonious.

The patron of the FEMALE FUTURE FLINTA* camp is Nicola Rost. As a songwriter, producer and frontwoman of the indie German pop band LAING, she provides advice and support and helps to get the message out: “The music industry reflects the structures of our society. It is crucial to be aware that structural discrimination exists. We need to work together to understand these mechanisms and actively work to overcome them so that all talents have equal opportunities to be heard and supported.”
Empowerment is the keyword, says initiator, Meisel Music exclusive author and editor Alexa Voss: “It is important to Meisel Music and me to make the many incredibly competent and talented women in the music business more visible and to advocate for more diversity. For this reason alone, the FEMALE FUTURE FLINTA* Camp will definitely go into its second round next year, but also because it’s so much fun.”
